The process of identifying my own brand has been exciting and truly enlightening! I feel like there has been underlying meaning behind my actions for years but I was never able to put words to it until now. Devaney encouraged me to finally schedule a professional photo session, which was something I had been putting off for years and on its own has been an empowering experience!
Meet Amber Friedman
Amber’s Story:
I started coaching in March 2019 after the worst month in my Sales career. I knew I needed to make some changes to my process and mindset, but traditional training through my employer wasn’t available. My boyfriend told me about the one-on-one professional coaching he does with Southwest Consulting and how it has made a huge difference in his career. After speaking to his coach about the process, I knew it was going to take a major leap like this in order to get myself back on track.
After completing the coaching Personality Assessment, I was matched with Devaney Rae Jones, one of the Certified Professional Sales & Leadership coaches with Southwestern Consulting. After only a minute into our first phone call I knew we were a perfect match. She seemed to instantly understand where I was coming from and what kind of learner I am.
Our coaching calls are packed full of useful information and tools. Devaney has helped me build strong, consistent work habits while providing clarity on many different aspects of my career. On a personal level, she has helped me to build my confidence to a level I never thought possible. Because of this, I have gained new levels of respect from my coworkers and supervisors.
Having Devaney as a coach has given me the opportunity to fully understand my WHY of life. I work in Sales, but I kind of “lucked into it” without any clear goals or aspirations of where my Sales career could lead me for the future. As a woman in a male dominated industry, I am faced with unique challenges. Because of these challenge, it is often difficult to find like-minded females who understand. Devaney has been in similar career shoes and she often shares with me invaluable advice, tools, and resources to manage this aspect of my career.
On top of this, she asked me an important question recently that I never thought to ask myself: Why do I love my job?
I realized that I didn’t view my Sales career as ‘’selling” because I feel that I’m helping people live their life to its fullest. Once I understood what it is about my job that gives me true fulfillment, I realized I wanted to help people on a larger scale. I began reaching out to individuals in the industry, who also value customer satisfaction and experience. The next thing I knew, I was being invited to join the Women’s RV Alliance and write articles for influential companies in the industry! Thanks to Devaney, I have a clear idea of what my core values are and how I want to help people. And from this piece of our coaching journey together, she has guided me into identifying my Personal Brand!

I have learned how to create a Facebook page and create a social media plan to fully maximize my social media presence and align my presence with my personal brand.
As soon as I established my personal brand it feels as though the world opened up to embrace me! Opportunities to share my experience and expertise have come to me from all directions.

Whether you like change or not, at a certain point we realize that what we are doing is not working to its full potential.
